Konica Minolta enters mid-range production with new C8000

Konica Minolta has launched the new bizhub PRESS C8000, a digital press with a print speed of 80ppm and hundreds of enhancements to 'change the game' in the mid-range digital production sector, according to product manager Pauline Brooks. 

Previewed at IPEX, the new C8000 has an input capacity of 10,760 sheets, 8-bit full-colour resolution at 1,200dpi2, and many under-the-hood industry-first improvements including stochastic screening for full integration in a hybrid litho-digital environment; image stability tools for automated colour management; third-generation Simitri HD+ polymerised toner; the ability to support 350gsm stock in every paper bin; a humidification decurler for perfectly flat sheets; air suction belt paper feed; and skew prevention in the transport path.
